The short version

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Strictly necessary

Authentication tokens from our sign-in provider, stored in your browser so you are not asked to sign in on every page. Without these the site cannot work, so they cannot be turned off.

A session identifier used to connect you to the conversation server.

Preferences

Small values remembering things you have chosen on the site. Clearing them resets those choices and nothing else.

Analytics

[None at present.] If we add analytics we will list the provider here and ask before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.

Managing cookies

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and local storage for a site. Deleting ours signs you out; nothing else is lost.
